The National Sleep Foundation would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who participated in Drowsy Driving Prevention Week® 2019 by spreading the word about the dangers of drowsy driving and its prevention. We especially want to thank our DDPW Advocates who  represented a variety of individuals from across the country. We also want to recognize UPS as a campaign sponsor.

While the annual campaign week is over, we know that the challenge of ending drowsy driving goes on. This challenge will be met when people make sleep a health priority and get the sleep they need so that they can be #Alert2Drive. It will also be met when people with untreated sleep disorders get treatment so that they can be #Alert2Drive. Preventable deaths from drowsy driving will be reduced when drivers recognize the signs of drowsiness and take appropriate actions to get off the road for their safety and the safety of others.
